CUE 2008 Conference - OnCUE Journal Special Proceedings Issue, 3(2)
CUE is pleased to announce a call for papers for the OnCUE Journal, 3(2), Special Proceedings Issue of peer reviewed papers presented at the CUE 2008 Conference at Kinki University. Special Issue Guest Editors John Gunning (Gifu Pharmaceutical University) and Matt Apple (Nara National College of Technology) look forward to working with prospective authors to produce an issue that reflects the high quality of research expected of university educators.

Article type:
Feature Article - Empirical data of a quantitative or qualitative nature
Research Digest - Detailed literature reviews, detailed analysis of Second Language Acquisition theories
Presentation Reflections - Reactions/responses to a presentation; please do not review your own presentation!
Length:
Feature Articles - 4,000 to 5,000 words including appendices
Research Digest - 3,000 to 4,000 words
Presentation Reflections - 1,500 to 2,000 words
Language:
Papers should be submitted in English. Feature Articles and Research Digest paper must be accompanied by an abstract of 200 words in English and 400 characters in Japanese. Brief author bios of 50 words in English only.
Format:
Times New Roman 12 pt (double-spaced), left justified (“ragged right”) margins, Microsoft Word Office 2003/4 (.doc) or Rich Text File (.rtf) only.
Note: Please do not use “running heads” in your document. All figures should be in .jpg format.
References, headers, tables, and figures should follow APA 5th edition. For general information regarding APA guidelines see OnCUE Journal, 2(2), pp. 145-156. See http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/ for sample APA references and guidelines. Authors are asked to double-check all tables, figures, and references for proper APA formatting before submission to OnCUE Journal.
All papers will undergo an editing process before peer review. Final decisions concerning publication will be made by February, 2009.

Note: Papers received from those who did not attend the CUE 2008 Conference will not be considered for the Special Issue; however, they may be considered for future OnCUE Journal issues at the author's request.
